Cold Embrace FAQ

This will be the FAQ for Cold Embrace, updates come over time.


► What is Cold Embrace (CE)?

Cold Embrace is a Second Life BDSM store that tries to provide unique/rare BDSM items for a good price. This includes unique items as well as collars, cuffs, gags, etc..

► Where can i find you?

Cold Embrace currently has no main store yet, but you can find us throught the links on the right side of the blog, under "Vendor locations".

► I bought one of your products through an SL vendor or XstreetSL, but it never arrived.

This can be a little complicated depending on the situation. When a purchase did not arrive, we have to check a few things such as status of the grid and our in-game servers. So be ready to provide the time of your purchase and a log of your transaction history* in case we did not receive payment. In case the purchase is made through XstreetSL, please provide the sale ID**.

► I modded my item but i messed up and can't fix it, what do i do?

At this time, please feel free to contact Lynnore Vaher. You will be asked to send over your old item and it will be checked for contents. If everything is allright you will get a new item within a minute or two.

► I attached my item but it is invisible and doesn't do anything.

You may feel like an idiot after reading this, but don't be. It's a common question. Our items are invisible for a reason, to allow you to wear it without accually having to be locked in it. To use the item, just click it and a menu with options will show up. Hint: You can see invisible attachments by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T.

► I want to update my item but the location has rezzing disabled.

Contact Lynnore Vaher, you will be asked to send your old version. Then you will be sent the newest one, this is done because we don't have a real location for the updater, nor a mainstore.

► I have found a bug, what do i do?

Contact Lynnore Vaher so it can be fixed in the next update. Please do tell, otherwise there is a chance it might be there for a long time.

► I acidently made a double purchase, what now?

Contact Lynnore Vaher, you will be asked to send the second item. Contents will be checked first and you will be refunded or pick a second product of the same value.

► The menu's look allot like the RealRestraint ones, why is that?

This is done because RealRestraint is the brand it all started with, wich gave life to the BDSM community with Restrained Life Viewer as we know it. People we know are used to those menu's and it was requested to maintain the same style. Please note that RealRestraint has nothing to do with Cold Embrace, the scripting aswell as building is all done by Cold Embrace and there are no 3rd party's involved.

► Is there a support group?

Yes, and it should be contacted first before contacting Lynnore Vaher directly. You can join in 2 ways:

- First way is by starting up second life, then go to search and click the group tab, type in "Cold Embrace: Updates and Support". Click on the link and press the join button.

- Second way is to copy the bold text below, open up Second Life and paste into chat then follow the link in chat history. Then click the link and press join.

* Transaction History: To access transaction history, got to secondlife.com and log into your account. Click on "My account" in the top right corner and go to "Account History" in the menu on the left side.

** Sale ID: Log into XstreetSL and go to "My account" in the top right corner next to user name. The click on "My marketplace purchases" and you will see a whole list of transactions with Sale ID on the left.
