The prison

Just want to let everyone know the prison is being scripted as soon as I'm done with RL stuff and store stuff. New items and updates have priority, i have to make enough money to both pay the rent and buy things i need for the prison. So please, go buy some stuff from us to support us! Or you can donate!

Anyways, thats all i have to say for now, it's sleepy time for me :P

New features, beta testers required

Cold Embrace is working on a new but fun plugin, currently only being developed on a select group of gags. But will be expanded to all items.

The feature itself is a plugin that enables you to run your gag in a competition mode, the top names are listed on a scoreboard in our shop. This means, if you have the highest score - you will be on top of the scoreboard. To get there you must wear the gag, and lock it into plugin mode - depending on the lock type (sloppy->total) you will gain score calculated from the time you are locked in the gag.

Update 1


The scoreboard is now online, you can see it by going in-world and teleporting to our sim at the norns. You can find a link in the menu on the right side.

New phase is tweaking the settings, some math to calculate the score and doing the plugin script.

On that note, I'm going to need testers - it need proper testing so I'm going to have to ask you to fill in an application. To get this, port to our store and find the box next to the scoreboard and click it. You will get further instructions from there.

Update 2

I'm taking a break from scripting, having trouble getting sleep and stuff so i have to delay this for now. On a side note, the basic scripting is done and the plugin works.

New Cold Embrace website

Today I'm going to look into setting up a temporary website if I'm not too exhausted by the time I'm home. It wont be anything too special but it will replace this blog - the goal for now is having a website with all info, links and other info on and it will be much more readable then this blog here.

That website will expand over time while i learn new things on how to make what i need in the future. I'll announce in this blog when the website is up, and try to port all the posts from this blog to the website and then this one will close down.

Update: Due to technical issues i can't start on the website, so it will be delayed.

Events

Last post for today, Cold Embrace wants to have success with the hangout and prison we put down and is looking for some volunteers who like event planning in their own unique way. We want more people to have fun and hang out at Cold Embrace, you are allowed to ask for a donation to all the people you draw into the event - We'll put you in the land group and you may set a tip jar or similar down.

Help Cold Embrace have some more regulars to hang out at our sim and you might just get some free stuff, only serious people thought.

Requirements:
- People skills, be good with people.
- Spare time, of course you can't plan anything if you don't put time in it.
- At least 1 year active on SL / Don't be a newb
- Online times, me and Nikala are both from Europe and things have to be discussed with us first so you have to be on when we are to talk about the events you're wanting to do.

Cold Embrace can provide rewards/prizes to use for events such as gift cards, interested then IM me in world (illiara.restless) or mail me at illiara.restless at gmail dot com

Furniture

Cold Embrace wants to sell more furniture, however this is an expensive process for us - full perm animations cost allot of money. I haven't even earned the money of the poses in the rug back yet.

The idea

The idea behind the rug was putting it for sale and all the profit would go to animations, new ones, good ones and not just freebies. Keep in mind that a couple animation can easily cost up to 1800L, sculpties and textures cost money too. So I'm easily losing more money then I'm making.

In short, we can't launch new furniture unless we're making more profit on the rug.

Missing Store Items

As you all know by now, not all items are in the store. We don't really have an idea when we'll be putting them back in there, and not all items will return.

Some items will be discontinued, I'll discuss this with Nikala and make a list on this blog so you know. All the old items that will return to the vendor will get updated first, it might take a while or it might be there next week, we can't really tell.

What we are currently working on is new items, some a little more expensive then our usual stuff but we have a sim to pay now and we could really use the money.

Chastity belt leash

We are aware of the missing leash in the chastity belt, you will receive an updated version as soon as possible. If you found any other bugs with the chastity belt, please let us know by contacting us in-world, drop by at the store, send an IM or leave a comment here!

Yoke Updates

As you know (if you are in the update group) we announced updates for the yokes, this is actually going to take longer then i expected. However, one is ready and the others are "in queue". The mini yoke is actually harder for me to make a resizer for, the other yokes have it easy but the mini yoke has an angle that has to fit. But I'm going to do my best, if i can't do it - so be it.

Now a little extra about the resizer, it's not just another resizer that uses a script in every prim - it's one that uses one script in total, only resize the width of the yoke, has a button to save the positions and restore them when you did something wrong. In the future i want to improve this by giving the ability to save it to our web server and you will be able to load it from there each time your gag is updated.

One other thing improved for the yokes is the new script version that uses less memory, fixes allot of bugs and make it overall much faster.

Permissions changes and updates

All new items will have COPY MOD permissions and old items will become COPY MOD too in the long run when they get updated.

Speaking of updates, the gags will hopefully have updates ready tomorrow - if i get some decent sleep today. These updates will make the gags COPY MOD and fix the following bugs:


- Fixed owner list bug: Owners were not properly removed.
- Fixed leash bug: Restrictions were not applied when leashed, posted or leash to.
- Fixed restriction bug: Sit TP restriction and accept TP were activated after re-log when the gag was locked but wearer not leashed.

If you find any other bugs, please let me know as soon as possible.


Blindfold


The blindfold will get a force mouse look at some point, I am aware the blindfold does not work underwater - this can't be fixed at the time of writing since RLV does not have options to change the water in the viewer and i rather not use HUDs.

Chastity belt


Yes i will release it soon, after the gag updates this is my new priority and hopefully this will be done over the weekend. This will have the new scripts, like the blindfold and the latest gags.

Secret project


I'm also planning a new secret project, starting from scratch and this will be the most advanced item out there. However this will take allot of time for me and this won't be out in the next few months, but to give you a little taste of whats coming i will say a few words. All RLV functions, web controls, phone controls, force animations, touch block, blinding, primary and secondary owners, public and non public modes, sculpted design, in short it has more then what you collar has and all your items you're currently wearing together. And I'm open for suggestions on features, not telling what it is yet though.
